Reply tags — /tags
Workspace reply-tag catalog used by the inbox, lead list, overview goals, and MCP (list_tags, create_tag, update_tag).
Lead assignment (PATCH lead / batch) accepts built-ins case-insensitively and stores the canonical label (Interested, Meeting booked, …). Custom labels resolve case-insensitively to the catalog’s stored casing. Classifier alias Meeting request is not assignable — use Meeting booked.
There is no public archive endpoint (archive stays in the dashboard). PATCH on an archived tag returns 409 until the tag is re-created via POST (restore).
Credits: 0. Rate class: GET → global · POST / PATCH → campaign_control (default 20/min).

labelKey is the lowercased, whitespace-collapsed label (used in the PATCH path).
POST /tags
Create a custom tag. Optional Idempotency-Key (max 128).

Built-in names (any case) → 400. Duplicate active label → 409. Soft-deleted same name restores the tag. Caps: 20 active custom tags; 40 custom tag docs total (archived still count toward the doc cap).
Response 201 — same shape as a custom[] item.

PATCH /tags/:labelKey
Update description and/or color (at least one). Path casing/spacing is normalized. Label rename is not supported.
